Description
Edwin Clement Cross, born Ramsgate 1895, joined the 25th London Regiment during the First World War, and later served in the Machine Gun Corps and the Somerset Light Infantry. In this photograph, he wears on his tunic the trade and proficiency badge of a machine gun marksman ('MG' in a wreath) and a Good Conduct Badge (long chevron at the end of the sleeve).
