Description
Edwin Cross sent a large number of photographs to his sister Muriel during the First World War, showing scenes he witnessed while serving in India with the Machine Gun Corps. This image shows soldiers on a train in India: the inscription on the back reads "Bombay - Bangalore, Feb 26 1916".
