Indian Railway Station, Feb 1916

Description

Edwin Cross sent a large number of photographs to his sister Muriel during the First World War, showing scenes he witnessed while serving in India with the Machine Gun Corps. This image shows an Indian railway station: the inscription on the back reads "Station on G.I.P. Rly where we halted 27th Feb 1916" [GIP = Great Indian Peninsula railway].
