Ausia, July 1918
Description
Edwin Cross sent a large number of photographs to his sister Muriel during the First World War, showing scenes he witnessed while serving in India with the Machine Gun Corps. The image is of Ausia July 1918: the inscription on the back reads "View from Ausia July 1918, Heights in Background 9,000 feet". [Ausia is now in Rawalpindi District, Pakistan].
