Monkey's Funeral in India
Description
Edwin Cross sent a large number of photographs to his sister Muriel during the First World War, showing scenes he witnessed while serving in India with the Machine Gun Corps. This photograph is of a "Monkey's funeral" at Trimulgherry: the inscription on the back reads "A monkey's funeral, Trimulgherry, Sept 1918."
