Imaginative recreation of a child’s sampler
Description
This represents the work of a girl, Annie Parry-Williams, who is known from County records to have attended Miss Price's School for young ladies. The school was run at Nantclwyd y Dre between around 1886 and 1893. Annie, a butcher's daughter born in 1882, lived at Crown House in Ruthin. The sampler is displayed in the "schoolroom" of Nantclwyd y Dre.
