In Memoriam certificate for Ivor Jenkins
Description
Private Ivor Jenkins of Llantrisant was 22 years old when he was mortally wounded serving with the Royal Welch Fusiliers in France in early July 1916. He was evacuated to England where he died on 13 July 1916; he was buried in Llantrisant churchyard in his parents' grave. This evocatively illustrated certificate, 'In Memoriam of the Noble Dead', shows a variety of scenes which serve to glorify warfare.
