The goblet is engraved in memory of Mary Carryl, the ladies' housekeeper, who had served them throughout their time at Plas Newydd and had aided them in their flight from Ireland to North Wales over thirty years earlier. The goblet is currently displayed in the exhibition room at Plas Newydd.
