Dinas Brân Castle as it appears today
Description
The castle was built in around the mid 13th Century. Its hilltop location provides spectacular views of Llangollen and the surrounding areas, and makes it clearly visible from the grounds of Plas Newydd. The Ladies climbed Dinas Brân to view the castle ruins during their first visit to Llangollen in May 1778.
