Gwilym Lloyd George

Description

Gwilym Lloyd George was the son of Margaret and David Lloyd George. He was Liberal MP for Pembrokeshire (1922-4,1929-50) and then later a Liberal and Conservative MP for Newcastle upon Tyne North (1951-57). He held several offices including Home Secretary and Minister for Welsh Affairs from 1951 to 1954. He was raised to the peerage as Viscount Tenby of Bulford upon his retirement in 1957.
