Blitzed ruins of Caer Street south side with St Mary's church in background
Personal Memories:
I was interested by the angle of this shot - hard to believe a whole building stood here! (Katryn Jones)
On the first night of the blitz, my mum, dad and aunt were at the Castle Cinema. I was at home with my grandmother and cousin. My parents were very worried and had a terrible job getting home to find us!
Our house was bombed out (Croft Street) then we moved in with my aunt in Townhill Road - then we were rehoused in Tegid Avenue. (Vince Wroe)
