Portrait photograph of Mr Padget Careless as a young soldier, 1931, Llandrindod Wells
Description
One of a series of portraits of men by Rousham Roberts. This portrait shows a young soldier in uniform, probably taken in the photographer's studio. These kinds of portraits were often taken of young men before the war as keepsakes for family members during long absences. The lapel badge shows a horn of some kind which would suggest he might belong to the King's Shropshire Light Infantry. Careless are a firm of Solicitors in Llandrindod Wells and it is not certain if this is Mr Careless himself.
