Description

A gentle drive up the Dysynni valley from Tywyn will bring you past the Bird Rock that is such a prominent feature of this glacial valley. Further up the valley, on the left of the road, you will see a glacial feature known as a 'roche moutonnee' caused by glacial errosion. On this shaped bedrock, now covered in trees, is where Llewelyn the Great decided to build his Castle.
