Description

Clive Thomas's father who joined the army when he was 16 (he lied about his age) in 1915. Shown here with all his medals. The flag in this image is a piece of the original Belgium flag which was cut up and presented to each soldier who helped to liberate Belgium, Each soldier stayed with a different family. They were all shown such kindness and appreciation by the families for liberating them.
