Wooden Box

Description

This box was made by my great grandfather Fred Davies in 1918 (see evidence from the photo!). During the First World War he traveled regularly from his home in Llanelli to Cheltenham to work in a propeller factory for the military aircraft (he was a carpenter by trade). He used the same type of wood used for the planes to make this box. The purpose of the box was to keep me safe.
