A uniform helmet of the former Cardiganshire Constabulary. This helmet is likely to be c.1940. The motif in the centre of the helmet plate badge is representing the Aberystwyth University.

Cardiganshire was amalgamated with the Carmarthenshire Constabulary to form the short lived combined Carmarthen and Cardiganshire Constabulary.

This later became part of what is now known as the Dyfed Powys Police
