I cannot be 100% sure but the man in the centre of the front row looks like my grandfather Idwal Jones. I know that he was in the Home Guard because he used to tell me tales of being on duty on the Horseshoe pass when Liverpool was being bombed and they could see the fires. For a number of years he ran the hardware shop, I think in Oak Street and possibly lived there. That would be about1955/62.
