Description

The first purpose built police station in Pontypridd. In those days, Pontypridd was called 'Newbridge' Erected 1844 and first used in early1845. The photo shows the police station furthest right. The original station did not have the upper floor, which was added at a later date. Ceased being used as a police station in 1868.The site is where Sardis House now stands.
