Letter sent by a young David Lloyd Morgan of Penarth who was 8 years old at the time to his uncle Sgt. Wilfred John Wesley Kyte of Cardiff who served with the 4th Battalion Machine Gun Corps during the war. David (Lloyd) writes of School activities such as getting to wear a medal for being the top boy in the class. He talks of taking the train to Cardiff to meet his father where they found a bicycle for him, seen in the photograph. He also mentions going to see his grandmother Sarah Jennet Kyte, Wilfred John Wesley Kyte’s mother. Sgt. Wilfred John Wesley Kyte was killed on April 18th 1918 and was buried at St. Venant cemetery, France.
