Description

Worn by members of the 16th Battalion (City of Cardiff) Welsh Regiment between 1914-1918. The badge was allowed to be worn on the collar though not a part of the official uniform. This Battalion was involved at the taking of Mametz Wood at the First Battle of the Somme. It can be seen worn in an image of Pr. David Williams.
