Yr Efail is one of the oldest houses in Ceinws, Esgairgeiliog, certainly seventeenth century, possibly older. The left hand side was the original very small cottage. Later, an outbuilding, possibly a cow shed and after that a single story blacksmith forge was tacked on to the end.
