Photograph of English engineer, Adrian Stephens born in Breage, Cornwall, 1797. In 1835, Stephens was employed as Chief Engineer at the Dowlais Ironworks under Josiah John Guest. It was during his time at the Dowlais Works where Stephen's invented the world's first steam whistle.
