"The Bard stands out against the World"

An interview with Michael Picardie, a member of the Cardiff Reform Synagogue for the "Hineni" project in 2012.

He mentions the origins of his family in South Africa, and his upbringing in Johannesburg. Michael goes on to mention his published poetry, short stories and plays, many of which deal with Jewish and South African themes including the Holocaust and the history of the liberation struggle in Johannesburg. His father won the bardic chair of the Cambrian Eisteddfod in Johannesburg in 1922.
