Heart shaped 'sweetheart' pincushion covered with red and dark blue satin, and filled with sawdust. Decorated with glass pins and woven silk panels.The central panel is inscribed with a verse: 'THINK OF ME / WHEN THE GOLDEN SUN IS SINKING / AND YOUR MIND FROM CARE SET FREE / WHEN OF OTHERS YOU ARE THINKING / WILL YOU SOMETIMES THINK OF ME'.Trimmed with a peach coloured woollen braid.This was given to Ellen Burns of Rhymney during the war. We don't know who made it. The box is marked 'With Love'. Reference number: DF107558
