Porthcawl Tramways As well as the Dyffryn, Llynfi and Porthcawl Tramroad their were other tramroads working around Porthcawl. One ran from the Howell, Coath & Co quarry and Lime works running from Trecco Bay towards Newton beach, another ran from Trecco via the dunes towards Porthcawl

The Howell Coath Co. tramway did not run from Trecco to Newton, it ran from what is now Georgian Close/Ger y Llyn/ Heol Fair to a railway siding near what is now Kingshill. The tramway from Trecco towards Porthcawl was possibly operated by the Barry Sand & Gravel Co. but ownership of the tramway from Trecco to Newton beach is, as yet, unknown.
