A large photograph mounted on card backing. On the top is 'Swansea Police School. August 1935.The majority are dressed in PE kit.

On the bottom of the card are the names and collar numbers of the officers. Mainly Swansea Police, but some of whom are from the police forces of Hereford City, Hereford County and Carmarthen County.

Believed that the photograph was taken in the rear courtyard of the former Swansea Police Station / Headquarters in Swansea.

Seated front centre is Chief Constable, Mr. Frank Joseph May O.B.E. Mr. May was Chief Constable of the Swansea Police from 1931 until 1941.
