Margam Church. G. O. Delamotte. Lithograph on paper. c. 1830 Here Margam Abbey can be glimpsed through the village streets. Local people go about their daily business, giving us an insight into daily life in Margam at the beginning of the 19th century. Soon after, in 1841 most of Margam village was demolished when Christopher Rice Mansel Talbot extended his park grounds. The inhabitants were relocated to the new village of Groes. Purchased by the Cardiff Museum, 1899. NMW A 6829
