James Rufus 'Jim' Davies bivouacked desert WW1
Description
James Rufus 'Jim' Davies 53rd (Welsh) Signal Squadron (Volunteers) bivouacked in desert with Australian light horse. Jim is on the right, the camp to the left and horses to the left. This is likely to be at Homs, a desert town between Damascus and Aleppo since the Australian light horse were there in 1918 and the Royal Engineers were repairing the railway there that year too. Indication as to Homs from information on Imperial war Museum website.
