REUNION AND PICNIC PLANNED FOR FOURTH
Members and Friends of Salem C. M. Church Planning Day at Maple Grove
The members and friends of the Salem C. M. Church, near Vetera, this county, will hold a reunion and
picnic in Maple Grove, adjoining
the church, on the Fourth of July, when a fine program will be planned for both old and young. Many of the former members of the Salem charge reside in this city and are planning to go to 'Maple Grove to spend the day. Some will go from nere by automobiles and others are planning to go by the Southern Cambria Railway to Ebensburg, where they will be taken to the grove by auto.
The first gathering of the members and friends of the old church was held last June. At a recent meeting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John L. Evans, Ebensburg, the officers were re-elected. They are resident, Mrs. Thomas H. Jose, of Westmont; Vice President, Lawrence Edwards, Ebensburg; Secrery, Mrs. Harry Squires, of Westmont, and Treasurer, Elmer E. Davis, of Moxham.
Robert H. Owens, of the Eighth card, will have charge of the music t the gathering on the Fourth, Thomas H. Jose, the amusement; William R. Rowland, of Ebensburg, the grounds; Marshall Rowland, of Ebensburg, the program; John R. Hughes and Mr. Jones, the ice cream and the Grange near Vetera will have charge of the store.
