Grave in memory of Mary Williams in area A at St John's church, Ysbyty Cynfyn (A42). See plan for area A for the grave's location in the graveyard.

Inscription A42: YMA/ Y claddwyd/ MARY merch JOHN/ CATHERINE WILLIAMS/ or Pwll-y-bilfal/ yr hon a hunodd yn yr/ angau Gorph. 18. 1853/ YN 17 MLWYDD OED./ O cofia fi pan fwy'n y bedd./ A chasgla'm llwch ir lan mewn hedd/ ...rddel fi yn y farn a ddaw./ ...d fi ar dy ddeau law.

Description: There is a simple border going around the stone. The carving has also resulted in the stone being split into two sections, the top with carved motifs the lower section the inscription. The sop semi circle section contains designs, a sarcophogus or bed with two circles either side of the bottom with a flower carved inside. The YMA is found within the sarcophogus/bed/ There are also two geometric fan designs on either side fo the top of the text. There is a line break constsing of two lines with a diamond in the centre separating the inscription from the religious text.

This grave was photographed as part of a Graveyard Survey carried out with the help of volunteers in 2013.
