Petition sets forth there are no active or resident officials of Church

Tribune Bureau, May 31, 1924 Judge John H McCann presided at a short session of court this morning to hear motions and petitions.Court was adjourned shortly after opening to observe Memorial Day. Attorney Morgan Evans of Ebensburg , presented a petition for Evan J. Thomas of Johnstown, asking for the appointment of trustees for the Salem Calvinistic Church, located along the Ebensburg-Carrolltown Road, in Cambria Township. The petition said that the church became extinct September 18, 1924 and that there are now no active or resident trustees. The church was an unincorporated congregation acting under the Calvinistic Methodist Synod, and the petition asks that the trustees of this organization be appointed to take over the property. The Court granted a rule to show cause why these trustees should not be appointed, returnable the second Monday in July.
