Nautilids are cephalopod molluscs, a group that includes squid and octopus. The cephalopods are considered the most sophisticated of the molluscs having advanced eye and brain systems. Nautilids live in water moving by jet propulsion in pursuit of mobile prey catching them with the use of tentacles.
