Flower Service Laugharne 1920s?
Description
Procession pictured outside Reigate House, King Street, Laugharne. On a Sunday in mid June the children of Laugharne, each carrying a bunch of flowers, assembled at the school (originally at 2pm) and walked in procession to the Church for the Flower Service. Their flowers were laid on the altar and later sent to local hospitals and on the mail train to some London hospitals. More recently, flowers were placed on graves in Laugharne churchyard.
