Themes (repeat of message used 1938-44): on this one day greeting each other as “members of one great family, the family of the nations of the future”; current suffering, cruelty and strife in the world; confidence of youth; service to home, neighbour and country – so that it serves the world; “friends of all and the enemies of none”.
