Early Glamorgan Constabulary helmet
Description
A six panel / cork construction uniform helmet of the Glamorgan Constabulary.
On the inside stenciled in white paint is:-
GC. H. 547. 09.
That is a stencil that was applied by the uniform stores, probably at the time of being newly issued to the Constable.
It translates as:- Glamorgan Constabulary / 'H' or Gowerton Division. Constable no. 547 and the year date of 1909.
