Gooseberry Jam
Description
Ingredients
two pounds gooseberries
eight cupfuls cold water
seven pounds sugar
Method
Pour the water over the gooseberries and boil for half an hour.
Add the sugar and boil for a further twenty minutes.
Leave to cool slightly before pouring it into pots.
Cover each pot while the jam is warm.
