Life of a Victorian doctor
Description
A short educational video developed by the National Waterfront Museum, Swansea, to complement their collections and provision for schools.
The video explores the social standing of a local doctor in Swansea in the late 1800's. A description of the doctor’s home life and the wealth of his patients provides an insight into the lifestyle of the middle class during this period. Concerns expressed over the health of the poor allow pupils to compare the experiences of different social classes during this period.
