The Afan Lido was officially opened by HM The Queen, accompanied by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh on 25th June, 1965, here shown being presented with a silver gilt key to perform the opening ceremony. Also present are the Mayor and Mayoress of Port Talbot, Cllr J G Lewis and Mrs. Lewis.
