Memorial Service, Mansel Tinplate Works

Description

The unveiling and dedication of the Memorial at the Mansel Tinplate Works for those employees who gave their lives in WWII. Officiating Ministers were the Rev Hywel Evans (Vicar of St Agnes) and the Rev Lawrence Thomas (Archdeacon of Margam). The Memorial, now relocated at Vivian Park, names those employees who died in both World wars, including Port Talbot’s only VC, Lieutenant Rupert Price Hallowes, fatally wounded at Hooge in 1915.
