The Deschoolmeester Family
Description
Bertha Deschoolmeester and her children taken after her husband, Charles' funeral in 1952. The couple were originally from Ostend, Belgium and came as refugees to West Wales in December 1914, initially to Llanegwad and later Abergwili, Carmarthenshire. At the end of the war they did not return to Belgium but moved to St Clears, where Charles worked for many years as an electrical engineer at the Milk Factory.
