Description

From my collection, is this framed set of memorabilia relating to Police Constable 629 William Edward Davies. The items were kindly donated to the Memorabilia Collection by family member and retired Glamorgan and South Wales Police, Inspector Gerry Davies.

Constable William E. Davies was born in Cardiff on the 6th April 1900. He joined the Glamorgan Constabulary and was serving in the 'A' or Aberdare Division during the period of the second world war. At the end of his service, he was stationed in the Rhondda Valley.

Included in the group are his WW2 Defence Medal, Police Long Service & Good Conduct medal, a silver Welsh Guards medallion for boxing, Welsh Guards cap badge, a 1940 Identification card etc.
