Munition Worker's Badge 1916. Worn by women on war service. Inscription: 'ON WAR SERVICE'. Inscribed on reverse: '243675'. These badges were issued by the government and private fiR.M.S from December 1914 onwards to signify that the wearer was engaged in essential war work.
