British War Medal awarded to Private Harry Thomas Gilbert of the Honourable Artillery Company Infantry Reserve Battalion. Inscribed: '10546 PTE. H.T. GILBERT. H.A.C. - INF.'. Harry Thomas was born in Bow, London and brought up in Barry, Cardiff. After the war he worked for the Cardiff Gas Light & Coke Company. He died in 1952.
