Barbara Elaine Davies was born in Oakdale in 1930. Her husband, the Reverend Tom Davies, was born in Fleur de Lys in 1932 but moved to Oakdale when he was about 4 months old. They both remember going to the Picture House in Oakdale which was located behind the Oakdale Workmen’s Institute. They were recorded by St Fagans National History Museum in November 1994.
