During the morning of the Conference, members were addressed by NFWI-Wales Chair Ann Jones, NFWI Chair Janice Langley and Marylyn Haines Evans, NFWI Vice-Chair and Chair of the Public Affairs Committee. The afternoon guest speakers included author and historian Tessa Dunlop and the actress, singer and presenter Connie Fisher. Tessa shared with delegates stories of the incredible veterans she had interviewed for her book The Bletchley Girls and Connie spoke of her journey since winning the BBC competition 'How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?'
