A 47 page booklet by Philip Riden.

Produced and published in 1981 by the Department of Extra-Mural Studies, University College, Cardiff.

About 500 people lived in Cowbridge in the late 17th century and early 18th. The booklet looks at the town in that period and in particular how Cowbridge people of the day earned a living.

The cover includes photographs of the obverse and reverse of a halfpenny token by William Bassett of Cowbridge in 1669, reproduced by courtesy of the National Museum of Wales.
