Description

The cross was made in 1911 and placed on the much older base. E.V. Williams in his book "Laugharne Corporation" wrote the following: "The base of the Cross is ancient. The upper part was added in 1911. A vague tradition says there was a Monastery Christ Church and that the cross was inside its walls but there is no evidence for this. In the early 19th century funerals used to walk around it three times. The Cross is perambulated three times at the Common Walk."
