A social club for the visually impaired ran in Community House for many years. It was called the Newport Social Centre for the Blind. Mrs Yvonne Williams, in the right of the picture, was responsible for the club for 15 years. The photograph was taken when George Thomas, Lord Tonypandy, visited the club.
