Porthcawl museum,porthcawl Coastguard and Porthcawl RNLI marking the 70th anniversary of the loss of the SS Samtampa and the Mumbles Lifeboat
all 39 crew members of the Samptampa and 8 crew members of the lifeboat Edward Prince of Wales were lost when the ship ran on to the rocks in a heavy storm at Sker point Porthcawl in April 1947
