The mayor of Porthcawl Town Council Cllr Lorrie Desmond Williams formally opened the War in the Air exhibition at Porthcawl Museum on Saturday the 1st July and arrived in vintage style.
Friend of the museum Harold Wilson kindly provide his 1926 Morris Cowley to collect the mayor and her consort for the day Cllr Graham Walters and bring her to the museum. The Mayor and other members of Porthcawl Town Council were then given a tour and informative talk about the exhibition which includes extensive material about RAF Stormy Down by Rob Taylor of Porthcawl Museum who with his wife Ann and other museum volunteers have made the exhibition possible.
Chairman of the museum Paul Joseph also thanked the town council for their continuing support of the museum
